Last time I recorded an entry on the blog at Blackpool Tile & Bathroom Centre, I told you about M & S’s New Bathroom.
Today I move on to their downstairs cloak / shower room.
There were a number of common factors to Blackburn Bathroom No 2.
Ade & Steve were to be the chosen fitters for this room. Having just completed the main bathroom, they moved straight on to this room.
‘THE BATHROOM BOYS’ as they had been become affectionately as, by M, were now into their third week of travelling to East Lancashire on a daily basis.
M & S had already chosen their wish list items, as follows;-
- 1500 x 700 stone shower tray in beige (Jack Warren)
- Brushed Bronze ‘Core’ premium thermostatic shower
- 700 wet room screen (brushed bronze)
- 300 ‘flipper’ screen also brushed bronze profiles
- 500 vanity unit (wall hung)
- White resin countertop
- 500 x 300 countertop sink
- Brushed bronze ‘Core’ wall tap
- Scudo concealed frame & cistern
- Wall hung ‘Genoa’ WC pan (round from K-Vit)
Not forgetting the ‘Thornton’ 60 x 120 wall & floor tiles.

Bearing in mind this room is a downstairs cloak(?), the remit for Aid & Steve was to fit a 1500 x 700 stone shower tray. ⬆️.
The choice of this tray (size) meant M & S needed one or two slight compromise/s, space was a premium to start with, but even more so. They loved their choice of tray in their main bathroom, so had to have the smaller version for this room
M had to have a bottle niche with LED lights, she deemed that Aid & Steve had done such a great job upstairs, that she had to continue with her theme.

Note the bronze shower ⬆️, bronze profile and brace to the shower screen and flipper.
M chose a black back lit LED ‘pill’ mirror
M also chose her own lights.

Bronze ‘Core’ wall tap ⬆️ to the 500 cashmere (two drawer) fluted wall hung vanity, countertop and oblong countertop sink.
Concealed frame and cistern for wall hung ‘Genoa’ pan complete with brushed bronze flush plate.
Not forgetting the brushed bronze 1200 x 500 towel rail.
The Thornton 60 x 120 porcelain tiles to the walls and floor were very complementary of the brushed bronze metal goods.
M was pleased her hunch to drift away from brushed brass features, as in her main bathroom, to try the brushed bronze goods.
A new finish (Gun metal) is now available for ‘Core’ taps & showers from Scudo too.
Please take advantage of our no obligation free measuring service and survey.
- We are open 7 days a week, for you to peruse of bathroom displays and massive displays of tiles from around the world.
Kindest Regards
