L & G came to Blackpool Tile & Bathroom Centre earlier this year, but had some personal issues to take care of before committing to embark on a significant project in their home.
They agreed to have their downstairs cloakroom refurbished and not only their main bathroom, but a large en-suite too, all in one go. They don’t do things by half measures.
Anthracite tiles (60 x 60) were chosen for the bathroom, with a large white stone shower tray, concealed valve shower with ceiling soaker and hand rinser, ‘Armano’ sliding shower screen door, freestanding bath with concealed valve wall tap and hand rinser.
‘L’ had made a special request for a foot-shelf in the shower too, to assist with her ability to complete personal manicuring.
Bespoke countertop suspended shelves were planned for the countertop sink.
Not forgetting the wall hung toilet pan (concealed frame)
Their fitting company commenced gutting the main bathroom first, with the endeavour of trying to ensure that they had a working shower at all times.
Plan A to complete the bathroom before commencing the en-suite.
Plan B was hatched a day or so later, with first fix plumbing well under way in the bathroom, ‘G’ moved their touring caravan onto the driveway, meaning they had additional showering facilities.
Bingo!!
Once the bathroom was prepped for tiling, the fitting crew started ripping the en-suite out.
The tiler ‘Frankie’ set about tiling the bathroom.
He completed all external corners with mitres for the special finish.

- Bottle niche and mosaic feature band
- Concealed valve wall tap and hand rinser
The additional mosaic band to make a feature of the bespoke countertop shelves and countertop sink.
Not forgetting the wall tap to add to the great finishing touches.
