Hi All,
March has been a busy month at Blackpool Tile & Bathroom Centre.
Here is another blog entry for your information, hopefully it might help you realise that your new bathroom could be closer and easier than you think?
Y & J, reside in Blackpool, close to the Town Centre, in a traditional detached residence with lots of character.
Y wished to update her main bathroom, whilst remaining sympathetic to her environment.
I personally conducted a ‘measure’ & ‘survey’ of her bathroom to set the ball rolling.
Her wish list was soon produced by listening carefully to her needs, as follows;-
- 1600 semi freestanding ‘Bray’ bathtub with shower screen and 2 tap holes (new product to the market from Eastbrook)
- Traditional bath taps,
- Traditional close coupled WC,
- Traditonal ceramic basin with pedestal (two tap holes)
- Traditional basin taps
- LED mirror
- 1600 x 600 ladder towel rail
- 600 x 1200 Cardostone Beige tiles to walls and floor
Y to keep relatively new electric shower.
The fitters (once again) for this project are Ade & Steve. I don’t just follow them around from job to job.
It just so happens that ‘Y’ had excitedly chosen and paid for her wish list and was happy to have the job done ‘whenever’.
Ade and Steve happened to have cancellation, so ‘Y’ was approached. She jumped at the chance to have her bathroom installed ‘sooner rather than later’.
After rip out by Ade and first fix plumbing by Steve, Ade got straight on with the tiling.
Once the tiling was completed the fitters set about fitting ‘Y’s’ wish list products.
The ‘Bray’ bathtub was the centrepiece as ‘Y’ had hoped and planned, giving her both a practical semi freestanding bath facility combined with the option of being able to take a shower if she wishes? ⬇️ The classic taps complete a traditional picture.

Y’ kept her electric shower, which after a buff up looked like brand new.

The bathtub stands out rather well against the backdrop of the cardostone beige tiles?
The hinged bath/shower screen is ergonomically designed and follows the smooth lines of the bath, and can be moved through 90 degrees away from the tub to give more room around should ‘Y’ wish to bathe?

The ceiling has been replaced with Matt white Upvc cladding boards, six spot lights and new extractor fan, to complete fine lines against the wall tiles.

The photo below shows classic bathroom goods, once again completing the hopes and plan of ‘Y’

The round traditional WC and pedestal basin with 2 taps (matching the bath taps) complement the bathtub perfectly.
The LED mirror, whilst modern, is softened with the rounded corners.
‘Y’ chose accessories which fit in perfectly with her original plan. The final piece of the jigsaw was the chrome towel radiator.

Again, look how it stands out against the Cardostone Beige tiles?
What a great final photo?

‘Y’ is delighted. You could be too? Drop by, take advantage of our free measuring service? No pressure, no obligation.
My best wishes, I’ll be in touch soon with the next instalment.
Rich
