G & M bought their dream home just after Christmas, 2024, in Central Blackpool and searched long and hard for somebody to fit a new en-suite, after being let down.
G had already produced a wish list with Sam at Blackpool Tile & Bathroom Centre but became desperate as she and M were working on a full house refurb.
Ade & Steve, some local fitters, jumped at the chance to shuffle their diary to come to the rescue.
G’s wish list was as follows;-
- 1600 x 900 white stone shower tray
- Chrome concealed valve shower with wall arm soaker and angle bracket rinser
- 1000 wet room screen
- 1000 wall hung vanity with countertop sink, (this would consist of three parts to make up the 1000mm width 1 x 600 vanity unit + 2 x 200 towel storage compartments)
- Tall chrome mono basin mixer tap
- LED mirror
- Tissino ‘open one side’ traditional close coupled pan WC
- 1000 x 1000 Grey marble ‘Leon’ tiles to shower area
- Vertical (waterproof) grey oak panelling to majority of other walls.
First of all, Ade framed off the main wall of the room to house all first fix plumbing, especially with the concealed valve shower fittings and waste for the wall hung vanity.
After plaster-boarding, Josh and his crew from ‘FYLDE TILES’, tiled the shower area and floor.

Next job for Ade was to fit the vertical panelling to the main wall, carefully planning for the end of the tiles and start of the panelling to be concealed behind the shower screen profile, before fitting the vanity unit and LED mirror,
NB the ‘fluted’ vanity drawer front to be in keeping with the vertical panels. (Vanity supplied by Tailored bathrooms)

G chose to have Ade apply vertical panelling to the WC wall, but only to 1200mm high

This room was finished off with the 1800 x 452 Black vertical aluminium towel radiator with towel handles attached.
G & M would tell Ade, Steve & Josh that this first room was a test of their workmanship, and as a result of doing a first class job, they asked the fitters to immediately start work on their main bathroom.
