Click Vinyl Plank flooring is a great option for reasons of affordability and durability as an alternative to tiling or carpeting. Vinyl flooring has been used for many years in both commercial and domestic installations which has provided a durable, practical and cost effective floor finish.
When properly cared for, vinyl planks can last anything up to 20 years. They come in a wide range of finishes that would suit any style of home, at a very reasonable price.
Most already have an underlay attached making them comfortable underfoot whilst providing great insulation from heat or cold and offers superior sound insulation as well as covering and masking minor floor imperfections such as grout lines in tiles or slight gaps/uneven floorboards. Click vinyl planks are fairly easy to maintain, all they need is regular vacuuming and light mopping. Most vinyl planks sold nowadays are waterproof but they are not flood-proof. Standing water can still seep through and damage the subfloor if no waterproofing layer is installed.
If weighty objects are in situ then the flooring can be prone to dents and if furniture is dragged across the floor it can cause scratching. If you’re worried about noise, the acoustic backing on this range reduces sound transfer by 21dB, all this without any need for extra underlay.
